UD Goblin Mini V3 Review
UD Goblin Mini V3 RTA is slightly larger than the original goblin mini, but definitely still a mini tank, which given how good the performance of the original Goblin Mini and Goblin Mini V2 was.
Goblin Mini V3 added features such as leak-proof control system, two build decks: single and dual coil build deck and spit-back protection built into the chimney itself.
In short, the design of the mini tank is greater than version before.
Design and Build Quality
UD Goblin Mini V3 RTA also follows the unit arrived free of machine oil by Goblin Mini V2. It is really great. All parts were nice including a solid stainless steel and Pyrex glass construction, no sharp edges and smoothly threading. Construction of the Goblin Mini V3 is excellent, especially for the low price you pay for the tank.
One of the biggest improvements is that the 510 threading for the drip tip now truly supports all 510 threaded drip tips. Top filling is by removing the top cap, but there has a limited juice flow control you need to turn off before filling the 2ml capacity.
The small low profile of Goblin Mini V3 is great to fit much mod you have.
UD have re-deigned the pendulum styled bottom airflow to include a metal cover on the base for the little tabs at the bottom and the sharp edges, which prevents the airflow from damaging your mod. Airflow is easily controlled via two airflow control tabs at the base of tank, from min to max, which can be adjusted from either side, and offer you the pretty much airflow which ranges from a very restricted lung hit to a wide open lung hit with a lot of vapor. The tabs are smooth to control.
I found the Goblin Mini V3 will cater for both MTL and DL.
Building the Goblin Mini V3
Personally, I believe the Goblin Mini V3 RTA is the easiest Goblin to build yet.
There are two dedicated build deck for option: Two post velocity deck for dual coil builds, side velocity deck for single coil builds. The 16mm deck area is available to build on, and the large post holes make slot coils into easily and the post screws clamp your coil legs down safely. I managed to fit in 3mm coils, and the chimney is slightly wider to accommodate. The move to a two post velocity build deck with two large airflow holes has made it even easier to build on.
It’s an incredibly easy tank to wick too. Simply make sure your coils sit over the airflow holes and push your wick into the juice channels, and you are ready to go.
In my point, the flavor from Goblin Mini Tank is near to RDA performance as it gets, and I believe the single coil deck type provides the best level of flavor out of the two. Its wicking is superb, which has no trouble in wicking high VG e-juice under high wattage. However this superb wicking doesn't come greatly at a cost as the 2ml tank capacity.
If you enjoy huge clouds, the Goblin Mini V3 can produce plenty of vapor.
- UD Goblin Mini V3 is perfect in leak-proof
- Plenty of airflows for option
- Anti-spitback design prevent any spitback without impacting the flavors
- A metal cover at base prevent the wobble airflow to scratch device
- Awesome wicking
- Fantastic flavor and huge vapor
- The 2ml e-liquid capacity is too limited. But you can but another 4ml extension tube.
- The O-Rings that seal the tank can be a little on the flimsy side.
I was so impressed with UD Goblin Mini V3 that I really struggled to find anything negative about it. UD have definitely provided what is pretty much a perfect RTA, which is capable of great flavor and vapor, with solid build quality and genuine MTL and DL for options.
The UD Goblin Mini V3 is one of the best RTAs even near to RDA level performance, outstanding flavor and vapor, top filling and large airflow holes, dedicated dual and single coil building options and more. Overall, it is a small package offering you big performance and plenty of surprise for your buck.
